The boys are back in town

Twins
Twins

I used to smoke. A lot.

Back when I was a young lad, I was devoted to creative writing. Bruno shared a similar interest and he and I had wild imaginations. We loved to collaborate and write children’s books with our grade 8 teacher as the primary character, Mithorne. She was an insipidly plain cartoon, though our instructor was nothing like how we characterized her. I’ve known Bruno and Joshua — who are twins — since we were 6-years-old. A long time. Our lives have gone in very different directions. Joshua and I went to university together and I was one of the first people whom he reached out to when he bravely came out of the closet at 19. He now lives with his husband in Vancouver. Sometimes, I miss him terribly, but that’s how life goes I suppose.
