The Hogtown Vegan
The best way to spend any lazy weekend is to bury yourself in southern comfort food. With a vegan spin of course. The Hogtown Vegan is located at Christie Pits in Toronto and offers creamy, richly layered cuisine that’s completely animal product free. Their specialty is to take traditional American southern recipes and make them vegan. Sometimes you can’t even tell that you’re not eating meat, which makes the Hogtown Vegan accessible to carnivores.
The mac and cheese is to die for, I highly recommend it. Check the menu and if you have the time, subway to Ossington station and enjoy the experience. As I always say, you won’t be disappointed. I warn you though, don’t eat too much because the food fills the belly up pretty fast. You’ll be feeling the goodness for days.

I possess great compassion and seek to be of service to others.
I just read about this place and wondered if it was good. As you know I’m a pork lover but I do tend to eat a lot of vegan/vegetarian food to balance it out. It’s on my list to check out.
You won’t be disappointed. TRUST ME!
Any particular dish you recommend?
Honestly I’ve been so many times that I can’t decide my favourite dish. Right now I’m on a mac and cheese fix but just close your eyes and point, it’s bound to be delicious. I warn you, it’s all very filling.
