Kindness

Billboards

When did we forget to be kind? I look around, I observe human interaction, and I question what happened to our collective souls. When did it become so hard for us to be nice to one another? Alas, it has. Before I react, I attempt to shed the heaviness of my ego. I recognize how fleeting this life is, and how my legacy will be measured by the decency I bring to it. My only goal is to respect life, human and otherwise. I strive to be a good person. Poor, rich, whatever I am, I hope that I am at least kind. That’s all that matters. It can only bring light.

    • It’s startling how often I see perfect strangers handle their frustrations by yelling at screaming at another human being. It’s becoming all too common, and it disturbs me.

  2. I too, try to be kind — because I know how many things can happen that are hard to take – I figure we are walking around slightly bruised and battered

    • It’s important to try and empathize with others and to recognize that perhaps they too are suffering. I can’t take watching another adult behave like a spoiled brat.
