Maude’s surgery

My baby

In yet another development Maude is currently in surgery to correct a torn ACL ligament in her right leg. Essentially she is having knee replacement surgery. Perhaps you’ll recall that back in November she had her left leg operated on for the same reason. At that time we couldn’t correct both legs, because she needs to be able to walk, so now she’s in surgery to complete the procedure. Last week she began hobbling and nursing her leg so an appointment was quickly made, and she’s now on the operating table.

Eventually she’s going to be bionic and will outlive us all. I’m sending positive vibes through the interwebs to say I wish her the best and can’t wait to have her home, which won’t be until tomorrow, or Sunday at the latest.

Next up is a three month recovery period.
