Toronto Waterfront Night Market
This weekend marked the third anniversary of the Toronto Waterfront Night Market on Cherry Street. The event celebrates the best in Asian cuisine, or so their website says. I had the smelly tofu, and let me say, it’s not just a name. It actually smelled like cow manure, and in some, not so small way, tasted like manure too. The price one pays for something new, and not so decadent. Well anyway, it was fun nonetheless, and here are some of the photos I took during my small adventure.

I possess great compassion and seek to be of service to others.
I was there, too! Yesterday, and got caught in the rain! I actually tried Mother Bear’s Smelly Tofu, it wasn’t so bad! In fact, everything was good – not great but decent. Did you get the watermelon juice for $1? What a steal!
I actually enjoyed the smelly tofu to be completely honest. Not sure if I would have it again though. I did get the watermelon juice for $1. It was nutritious!
I have to say I was really disappointed. It felt like there were a few hot items everyone was selling but the diversity wasn’t there.
I went with a Japanese-Canadian friend and we were ready to pig out but a lot of similar dishes and too much meat on a stick.
I would have to agree with you. As a vegetarian it was a challenge to find anything I could eat, which surprised me. But, I enjoyed it for the experience. Thanks for commenting!
Yum…I like smelly tofu!
It was interesting!
