Fiona Apple is so divine
I’v been listening to The Idler Wheel Is Wiser than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More than Ropes Will Ever Do, all morning. It’s heaven. I didn’t think Fiona Apple would be able to top her last effort seven years ago, The Extraordinary Machine (which shook my foundation), but she has. Oh has she ever! The past month I have tried hard not to listen to authorized released tracks from the latest album, and I’m glad I held back, it’s like Christmas morning.
Perfection in sonic form. I reach for it in thin air with the hope of gobbling it up to enrich my innards, but no luck. It’s meant to be out there, for everyone.
