Devastating account of loss and intolerance
I’m not going to write much about this, because I think you need to watch the whole video. Then share it with anyone you can.

Hello I'm Franco. I write about anything that interests me, which includes travel, my dog, my cat, television, radio, movies, music, you name it, I'm into it. I'm an annoyingly proud Canadian who loves to drink too much beer and stare inappropriately and uncomfortably at strangers. Don't get me started on anything political, because I get even more obnoxious.

I possess great compassion and seek to be of service to others.
Reblogged this on hastywords and commented:
I LISTENED….This video says so much about the pain an anguish caused when families don’t communicate and don’t care to listen and resolve important issues. I don’t believe turning your back on a child is EVER ok no matter what the belief or reason. This story saddens me so much. Just my opinion!
I understand how rejection from the people who are supposed to love you the most feels. It’s terrible, and the pain stays with you for a long time. Unfortunately many parents do not see how devastating their actions are and it’s hard to break the cycle of generational intolerance. I feel for this young man and I hope that one day he’ll heal.
It saddens me how people react to homosexuality. Just the other day a person I know was talking about making young homosexuals be treated for the illness. A plague on society. That it was not genetic but a way of life. Who is sick here. He was attacked at 5 years of age by a fourteen year old boy. He did not become homosexual. Or was he damaged? If it is a preference let people live in peace and love all living things.
We’re treated unfairly everyday and the threat is very real when we pass many straight people. The other day I was walking to get a coffee and was called a ‘fucking faggot’, two weeks ago as I was walking to the village a man in his car yelled ‘batty-boy’and when I lived in England a group of young boys threw rocks at me while I was walking to the tram yelling ‘fag’! I wonder how straight people would handle all this aggression. Gays can’t walk down the street holding their partner’s hand without a very real threat of violence. I mean, it’s insane. I will never fully understand hate.
“Liking” this post is so inadequate…
Haha. Thanks! It’s a terrible issue that needs to be fixed.
Amen.
