I don’t know how any woman can walk in these shoes. But God bless them for tying. There really isn’t anything more funny than watching a model fall. The first scene alone is worth more than all the gold in the world.

Here I am standing outside the Faculty of Law at the University of Buenos Aires.
El Ateneo
El Ateneo. I apologize for my hair. I still can't find a barber.
Probably one of the most beautiful book establishments in the world, El Ateneo has to be seen with your own eyes to believe. Located at Avenida Santa Fe 1860, it originally opened as a theatre in 1919 called Teatro Gran Splendid. I believe that it was converted into a bookstore in 2000 and since then over 1 million people walk through its door annually. It is gorgeous.

I did some sight seeing today. Every tourist book I’ve read recommends a trip to Flor de metal. Apparently the petals open during the day and close at night. As you can see, they were open during my visit. If you’re in Buenos Aires, spend ten minutes at this eye sore and then head for a beer.

Let me first explain how criminal it is that no one in Argentina celebrates Hallowe’en. Each year in Toronto Keith and I attend the Church St. festivities. It’s fun watching how elaborate some of the costumes can be.
I went to Sitges last night and there were a group of tourists dressed up as Dracula. No one sent them the memo that everyone in Buenos Aires is boring.
Next weekend is Gay Pride Day and typically, no one cares. What is wrong with this town?
Oh well! Here’s Ricky Martin’s new single Más which means “more” in English. When this played last night at the bar people went insane. I actually saw someone’s head explode.
I possess great compassion and seek to be of service to others.
