Vancouver be ashamed
Pardon my apparent sexism, but never underestimate the stupidity of the male gender.
The Vancouver Canucks lost the Stanely Cup final last night. It’s just a game. Only 9 players on the Vancouver team are from Canada compared to 16 on the Boston team. Considering this fact, you would think Vanouverites would put it all in perspective.
Sadly no. Instead they took to rioting in the streets.
It always strikes me how ordinary citizens watch in apathy as their health care is eradicated, their cost of living reaches unlivable levels, poverty surrounds them, wars occur throughout the world in the name of greed, gas prices continue to rise, politicians prevent people from living to their full potential, but losing a hockey game, well, now they’re mad.
What is it about us that keeps us silent as our planet is raped? Why do we get mad when a hockey team loses a simple game?
For shame Vancouver. For shame.
