Heaven

My favourite scene from one of my ultimate favourite films.

Thank you

Tori Amos is a genius. More than anyone in centuries will ever know.

I love my new camera. I walked around this morning and took a few photographs. I’m learning.

Toronto takes a lot of flack from the rest of Canada, and lately it seems it is getting pelted in the press, but it’s my home, and possibly, the greatest city in the world.

Cawthra Square Park -- AIDS Memorial

Cawthra Square Park -- AIDS Memorial

This morning I rose early from bed, took Maude out, went to grab my coffee and then walked up to Cawthra Square Park to take a few snapshots of the AIDS memorial. While there I ran into an old friend and his dog Ringo. We talked about our lives now, where we work, what we do in our spare time and of course, about our dogs. I usually rather not speak to people when I’m on a mission to photograph but I was happy to see him. It got me thinking that perhaps we were always meant to know one another.

As we parted ways I looked back to watch him walk away, and I felt sad, because maybe it will be the last time I will ever see him.

Paris, Je T’aime 14th Arrondissement

This is my favourite scene from the film Paris, Je T’aime. It’s the best quality version I could find with subtitles.

This is my life

Funny how a lonely day, can make a person say:
What good is my life?
Funny how a breaking heart, can make me start to say:
What good is my life?
Funny how I often seem, to think I’ll find never another dream
In my life
Till I look around and see, this great big world is part of me
And my life
This is my life
Today, tomorrow, love will come and find me
But that’s the way that I was born to be
This is me
This is me

This is my life
And I don’t give a damn for lost emotions
I’ve such a lot of love I’ve got to give
Let me live
Let me live

Sometime when I feel afraid, I think of what a mess I’ve made

Of my life
Crying over my mistakes, forgetting all the breaks I’ve had
In my life
I was put on earth to be, a part of this great world is me
And my life
Guess I’ll just add up the score, and count the things I’m grateful for
In my life
This Is my life
Today, tomorrow, love will come and find me
But that’s the way that I was born to be
This is me
This is me

This is my life
And I don’t give a damn for lost emotions
I’ve such a lot of love I’ve got to give
Let me live
Let me live

This is my life
This is my life
This is my life

The Walking Dead

I recently discovered the AMC zombie television show The Walking Dead, based on the comic book series. Spooky! If you get the chance watch the first season.
